Being in the forefront of the National Security Guards operations at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai, Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan not only waged a valiant battle against the terrorists but also did his best to save his injured colleagues and in the bargain lost his life. Bangalore on Saturday bid a tearful farewell to Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the NSG commando who was killed in the bloodiest counter-offensive at the Taj hotel in Mumbai.
Family members, friends and army personnel besides thousands of ordinary people came out in the streets to pay homage to the martyr who laid down his life during the unprecedented anti-terror operation.
Unnikrishnan was killed while trying to pursue a fleeing terrorist at Taj.
The body of the slain hero was draped with the tricolour. Tears streamed down the cheeks of many as emotional family members and friends broke down while bidding adieu to the braveheart. The funeral was held with full military honours.

கங்குலி, மதிக்கப்படும் தலைவன்

Ganguly, the inventor of modern day Indian aggression.

Ganguly was an established test player before he set his foot strong on one day cricket. But contrary to that, he scored fastest 10000 runs in one day cricket. He was the one who taught the younsgter to stand strong instead of taking things lying down. In old days, it would be painful to see our Indian players getting sledged by Austalian, England players and would show no reaction to it and take it as a dead duck. While batting also, when they were either beaten or get an awkward bouncers, the foreign bowlers use to stare at our batsmans, but our batsmans dont even look at them. All these things changed once DADA took over the captaincy. His aggression was very evident when he took off his t-shirt and uttered those famous(???) "f**k off" words after India winning the Natwest final against England in that dramatic victory scripted by Mohammad Kaif and Yuvraj Singh. It was so good to see and highly satisfying as I have seen the match between India and England in India previous to this tour, when Andrew Flintoff did the same thing when England won the last match of the series to level the series 3-3. Sourav changed the Indian image in the world cricket by letting the whole world know that Indians too, know to play aggressive and ruthless cricket. All these youngsters right from Harbhajan, Zaheer to latest Gambhir's aggression has the roots from Sourav Ganguly. I salute dada for it.

To me Ganguly means Aggression and there is nothing wrong in it, when we think cricket as a war. Because if your not aggressive in war, you will not win it.

Dada, Thanks for all the wounderful innings that you played and you are the architect of modern Indian cricket success.

ஆல் த பெஸ்ட் அணில்!

I salute Anil Kumble for whatever he has done to Indian cricket and greatly admired him for the last lines of this post. His image got sky rocketed, when he handled the infamous sydney test match controversy against Australia in an impeccable manner. Really, BCCI missed a decent, dignified captain in Anil Kumble for a long time. Atleast, it's better late than never. :)

No better reply to arrogant, coward Austalians on post match news conference, than this one,
" Only one team played with the spirit of the game"

'கில்லி' - நீ காலி

One of the most respected player in the australian team but from now on, he will be the most hated player not only in India but all over the world. He has no rights to talk bad about GOD of cricket and every cricket loving soul knew about the integrity of this great man. Gilchrist from such an ill tempered Australina squad should comment about their own team mates, Michael clarke, Andre Symmonds and Ricky ponting. Whole world knows how bad they behaved during their 2nd test @ Sydney(January 2 - 6) and called it killer instinct.

Even this junker claimed a catch which was nowhere near to the bat against Rahul Dravid. The comment given by cricinfo commentator during the live match, where he claimed it as a catch and reconfirmed it during the press meet also, which clearly shows his integrity.

33.1 Symonds to Dravid, OUT, oh dear, looks like there's been another questionable decision there, Dravid given out caught behind when he padded up to it outside off, the bat behind his pad and nowhere near the ball
R Dravid c Gilchrist b Symonds 38 (152m 103b 6x4 0x6) SR: 36.89

Dear oh dear. I was just about to say that India were building up a good partnership there, when that happened. Boos ring out as the replay is shown on the big screen.
India call for the sledgehammer to flatten out the batting area, using up time perhaps.

He wanted his autobiography to be a best seller and that's clearly evident from the way finger-pointing Sachin, rather than Andrew Symmonds or Michael clarke or Ricky ponting as he knows those fellas are nothing when compared to Sachin Tendulkar and he already succeeded in popularising his book even before it's release.

Caution: Deccan Chanrgers, you will not get support even from Hyderabad, so better change your captain!

My God has scored most Test runs by any batsman in international arena and also become the founding member of 12000 club in Test History.

He is THE best batsman and will always be. I salute, admire, worship and above all love sachin not only for the way he played cricket and his cricketing genius, but also the way he conducted himself in all these 19 years without any controversy. Any celebirty would die for such a clear and clean career without any issues, which sachin can feel proud of.

திரைப்பட விமர்சனங்கள்

SA-RO-JA----------> Premji Rules and Venkat Prabhu has done a wonderful work.(4/5)

JayamKondaan----------> Good movie to watch with Family.(I went to the movie without any interest, but when I came out from the theatre, I was more than satisfied)(3/5)

Dhaam Dhoom---------> Songs are good. I liked anbe en anbe and saghiye initally, but after visuals, i liked 'Dhikku Dhikku' also. Lacks Jeeva's punch, may be since some parts of the movie are directed by his assistance.(2.5/5)

Satyam----------> Biggest sothapal. Went to movie with lot of expectations, but came out totally disappointed. Editing is very bad and I don't see one good reason for Vikram krishna to bet his money on this project. Vishal's physique is good but he miserably failed in this film.(1/5)

Impressive Poster. The carvings of Aendhiran showcases the brillian of Director Shankar, which looks like robots with wheels. I was a bit circumspect about the name change from 'the Robot' to equivalent tamil name. Because, the title got registered with everyone long before, when shakar completed his 'Indian' with Ulaganayagan and how the new name would be seen or received by the audience. And also that I couldn't think of an equally attractive and powerful title as 'the Robot'.

Aendhiran - title is as good as 'the Robot'. I feel,in a sense it's more catchy than Robot. Hats off to those whose choose this title.(Initially, when I saw reports suggesting 'Aendhiram' which was not as impressive as the new title, I got petrified and Thank God it got changed)

I am hoping there will be a baddie rajini and how awesome it will be to have a villain rajini combined with the creativity of shankar. Sure, it's gonna rock. I have already posted previously, about seeing baddie rajini in a film and the kind of impact it will have. Please click here to read that.

இந்தியா உங்களுக்காக.....

Ant & Grasshopper: As an Indian you Must read
U.S Version:

The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The Grasshopper thinks the Ant is a fool and laughs & dances & plays the summer away.

Come winter, the Ant is warm and well fed. The Grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

INDIAN Version:

The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The Grasshopper thinks the Ant's a fool and laughs & dances & plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering Grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the Ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

NDTV, BBC, CNN show up to provide pictures of the shivering Grasshopper next to a video of the Ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

The World is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be that this poor Grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Arundhati Roy stages a demonstration in front of the Ant's house.

Medha Patkar goes on a fast along with other Grasshoppers demanding that Grasshoppers be relocated to warmer climates during winter.

Amnesty International and Koffi Annan criticize the Indian Government for not upholding the fundamental rights of the Grasshopper.

The Internet is flooded with online petitions seeking support to the Grasshopper (many promising Heaven and Everlasting Peace for prompt
support as against the wrath of God for non-compliance) .

Opposition MPs stage a walkout. Left parties call for "Bharat Bandh" in West Bengal and Kerala demanding a Judicial Enquiry.

CPM in Kerala immediately passes a law preventing Ants from working hard in the heat so as to bring about equality of poverty among Ants and Grasshoppers.

BJP wants Sonia Gandhi's apology.

Lalu Prasad allocates one free coach to Grasshoppers on all Indian Railway Trains, aptly named as the 'Grasshopper Rath' (Same as we have 'Garib rath' now) .

Finally, the Judicial Committee drafts the 'Prevention of Terrorism Against Grasshoppers Act' [POTAGA], with effect from the beginning of the winter.

Arjun Singh makes 'Special Reservation' for Grasshoppers in Educational Institutions & in Government Services.

The Ant is fined for failing to comply with POTAGA and having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, its home is confiscated by the Government and handed over to the Grasshopper in a ceremony covered by NDTV.

Arundhati Roy calls it 'A Triumph of Justice'.

Lalu calls it 'Socialistic Justice'.

CPM calls it the 'Revolutionary Resurgence of the Downtrodden'.

Koffi Annan invites the Grasshopper to address the UN General Assembly.

Many years later...

The Ant has since migrated to the US and set up a multi-billion dollar company in Silicon Valley..

100s of Grasshoppers still die of starvation despite reservation somewhere in India...

As a result of loosing lot of hard working Ants and feeding the Grasshoppers, India is still a developing country!!!

What a performance by Superstar as Mottai Boss a.k.a MGR in "SIVAJI" in the last 30 minutes.

Chanceless!!!!!!!!! Pattaya Kilapitarula!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an intro to MGR in Sivaji. I saw lot of disappointments amoung Superstar's fans about the intro scene in Sivaji, but Shankar completely makes it up or does more better job than if he had given some powerful intro in this second intro for our Mottai Boss. A.R.Rehman's re-recording for that scene alongwith the way thalaivar walks with a GETHU/NAKKAL smile, Yenna Scene, Yenna intro athu!

I like to see Superstar in a villain role, the kind he did in sivaji. No one can match his acting skills when it comes to villainous performance. Just imagine the kind of impact it will have when his style mingles with an ultimate reckless wicked villainous performance. Can't just ask for more than that. For sure, no one can stand a chance against Rajini, so it should be Hero Rajini vs Baddie Rajini. Hope, Shankar is at it again in "ROBOT" with one Hero Rajini and one Villain Rajini.

Note - I was really wanting to post this long before and recently got chance to see the movie again and couldn't keep myself from posting it. OLD aana news aaa irukualam aanaa Gold aana News ngooooo......!

Politicians doesn't seem to care for the people and MP's are not voting according to their conscience. It really hurts and we people could only see these happenings as a mute spectator eventhough WE are the one, who selected them. This is called assasination of Democracy.

சக்கரகட்டி songs

TAXI TAXI song - summa pattaya kilaputhu.......
another Mustafa in the making....... ;)

I would like to see one more "Newyork Nagaram Urangumbothu....." from Sillunu Oru Kadhal by A.R.Rehman.

Strange thing ---> When Rehman finds time to compose music to films like "Jaane Tu...." with new comer, i dont know why he can't do direct songs for Tamil films. Even, in sakkarakatti, two of the songs are from a Hindi Movie.
